Salvation is accepting the free gift of Christ, being reconciled back to the creator and receiving the empowerment to live the life that God has always intended for you to live.

You see the bible teaches that, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. In other words it is not humanly possible to live up to the standard of holiness required by God. Not even the best among us has the ability to live up to the standard of God of their own accord.

But the Good News is that God made a way for us that doesn’t require us to do the impossible, by giving his only begotten Son as a ransom for you and me. Christ paid the price for all our shortcomings and took upon himself the punishment that we deserved. The only thing required for us to receive this free gift, is to believe.

The Lord Jesus said,” No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:” You see, that’s the Good News we preach, God has done it all for us there is nothing left for us to do except to believe and accept this wonderful gift of life.

It is only by accepting what Christ has done that we can stand in the presence of God without any sense of guilt or condemnation. Life becomes new and you are eternally secured in Christ and enjoy peace with God.

How do I get saved?

You receive salvation when you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for you and God raised him on the third day and confess his Lordship according to Romans 10: 9- 11.

To accept Christ in your life and be saved, say this simple prayer;

“Heavenly Father, thank you for your love for me, for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all my sins. You raised Him from the dead. He’s alive today. And I thank You that all my sins are forgiven. I’m righteous by the blood. I’m under God’s favor. And I thank You Father that surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life from this day forth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Now that I am saved

I have good news for you, your entire position in God’s kingdom changes—you are no longer a sinner, but a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and an heir of God (Romans 8:17). You are now eternally secure in Christ and no man can move you out of his hands (John 10: 28). Remember God loves you unconditionally and wants to bless you. He is forever on your side (Romans 8:31), and He has declared that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

It is very important for you to continue hearing the Good News of God’s grace and your new identity in Him, and to learn of all the blessings that He purchased at the cross for you to enjoy.
